It’s the future of currency moving towards us at full speed, getting faster all the time and demonstrating a huge capacity to change the way we conduct commerce — from the coffee down the street to the depth of your retirement portfolio.

BitIRA U is BitIRA’s open technology education mission. We are open to changing the world through further education of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.

Today, we are announcing our $1,000 scholarship for two students a year to share their vision on what’s in store for this new world.  

How might cryptocurrency change the world over the next 20 years?

Do you see a future that’s positive, negative, or something completely different?

How might the growth of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies shape the way we live, work and retire?

What will you do with all this leftover paper money stuff?

These are all great topics to explore, but mostly, we want to hear a personal story about how you think this future will play out. This is your chance to share your expertise about this intriguing new field of investment and wealth management, and of the future of money itself. Don’t just quote the narratives from the big names. Lay out why cryptocurrency may or may not become mainstream over the next 20 years.

The BitIRA U essay contest is open to all enrolled students in a high school, college or university in the United States.
